1. Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center

You can’t take a trip to Florida’s Space Coast without visiting NASA’s primary launch site, Cape Canaveral, and the Kennedy Space Center. The visitor center complex includes various Mission Zones, organized in chronological order, which feature exhibits that span from the beginnings of the space exploration era to current and future missions.

You can even get up close and personal with the orbiter of Space Shuttle Atlantis and then see what it’s like onboard with the astronaut training simulator. And if you plan your trip out just right, you may even be able to catch a thrilling launch. There’s so much to do and see at this space complex that you’ll want to set aside at least a few hours to explore these historic grounds.

2. Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach is the quintessential Florida beach city, and it’s only 13 miles north of Indian Harbour Beach. Spend your day in Cocoa Beach by walking along the iconic pier and then visiting Ron Jon’s, the largest surf shop in the world. The area also features many scenic nature trails for those looking to unwind and relax in their natural surroundings. Following Florida’s barrier islands about 20 miles south of Oceanique Resort, you’ll find the stunning oasis of Sebastian Inlet State Park. While known for its gnarly waves and surf culture, it’s also a great place to visit to observe wildlife and take a break while exploring your natural surroundings. The pristine beaches at the park provide the opportunity to collect shells or relax in peace, and the park is also a popular destination for saltwater fishing.
